Nicky's Journey: 5 Years of Trust, Science, Muscle & Skin Rehabilitation
For 11 years, I’ve specialsed in helping clients with autoimmune challenges and complex skin needs—often deemed “untreatable” by others. Today, I’m sharing NickyCat’s story—a journey that began in 2019 and has become a profound testament to patience, innovation, and partnership.
Why This Matters:
Nicky battles lifelong eczema, steroid-thinned skin, and asthma—a trifecta that slows healing and collagen/elastin production. Many would consider her a “contraindicated” candidate for RF treatments. Yet, with medical-grade tech like Exilis Ultra 360 RF/Ultrasound and protocols refined over my 11-year career, we’ve rewritten her skin’s story.
The Breakthroughs:
Until 2023, Nicky could feel her skin thickening under her fingertips when she applied skincare and makeup and saw it when her skin did not break apart and bleed when she suffered an eczema breakout, but she did not enjoy the visual result that our other non-autoimmune-compromised clients typically enjoy from the treatment service we provide.
Tailored 5-Stage Plan:
Blending Microcurrent Muscle therapy and non-ablative medical-grade Radio Frequency and Ultrasound therapies to attain thicker, stronger skin and more lifted, toned, sculpted musculature of the face, neck, and chest areas.
In the last two years, we have finally been able to use RF Microneedling and HIFU skin and muscle therapies to build on the results gained by our 5-Stage Face Lifting process.

The Reality Check:
Progress isn’t linear. After this session, her sensitive skin reacted (something we simply have to deal with from time to time). This Sunday, I’m meeting up with NickyCat for a complimentary treatment to check over her skin and provide her with some TLC and support as we journey ever forward together.
Why I Share This:
Autoimmunity Doesn’t Discriminate: I took on autoimmune-compromised clients by accident. Some of my first—and second-generation BeautyCats only found out they suffered from an autoimmune condition after being on my books for a couple of years. We were able to get results just fine much of the time; other times, results just took longer to achieve.
Due to this experience, I have continued to take on such clients.
Nicky is a special case because her skin/body has not wanted to play nice as we have worked together, but still, here we are.
